Spatial Authentication on Large Interactive Multi-Touch Surfaces

چکیده
The exploitation of finger and hand tracking technology based on infrared light, such as FTIR, Diffused Illumination (DI) or Diffused Surface Illumination (DSI) has enabled the construction of large-scale, low-cost, interactive multi-touch surfaces. In this context, access and security problems arise if larger teams operate theses surfaces with different access rights. The team members might have several levels of authority or specific roles, which determine what functions and objects they are allowed to access via the multi-touch surface. In this paper we present first concepts and strategies to authenticate and interact with subregions of a large-scale multi-touch wall.

The Interactive Spatial Surface - Blended Interaction on a Stereoscopic Multi-Touch Surface
Current touch technology provides precise and accurate large multi-touch surfaces, which allow multiple users to collaborate in these two-dimensional setups. Furthermore, recent developments in the field of display technology support visualization of three-dimensional (3D) virtual environments (VEs) in high-fidelity visual detail on these surfaces. Finally, cost-efficient depth cameras such as ...
متن کاملSurface Interactions for Interactive Sonification
This paper presents novel interaction modes for Model-Based Sonification (MBS) via interactive surfaces. We first discuss possible interactions for MBS on a multi-touch surface. This is followed by a description of the Data Sonogram Sonification and the Growing Neural Gas Sonification Model and their implementation for the multi-touch interface. Modifications from the original sonification mode...
متن کاملMulti-Haptics: Remote Tactile Feedback on Multitouch Surfaces
Multi-touch input using multiple fingertips or hands has become the de-facto standard for the interaction with interactive surfaces such as tablets, tabletops or interactive walls. For single touch input, the addition of synchronous tactile feedback has shown to be beneficial in terms of reducing error-rates, increasing interaction speed and minimizing visual load. However, to this day, the non...
متن کاملAdding Vibrotactile Feedback to Large Interactive Surfaces
Interactive surfaces and multi-touch tables are increasingly available outside academic contexts, and are entering, for instance, work or educational contexts. A large variety of applications exists for a multitude of tasks. For interacting with these applications, existing interaction concepts are often directly mapped to the multi-touch surface, which is often limited by physical constraints....
متن کاملAdvanced Natural and Tangible Interfaces for Spatial Information
Since 6000 years humans have used maps to navigate through space and solve other spatial tasks. Nearly all of time maps were drawn or printed on a piece of paper (or on material like stone or papyrus) of a certain size. Thus the two most common interaction methods were: (i) Holding the map in both hands (ii) or putting the map on a tabletop and perform specific tasks. Nowadays maps can be displ...
